CROWN is hosting a summer youth draft basketball league for 7th, 8th, and 9th graders! After multiple youth draft leagues in the fall, we have decided to integrate it into our summer league. This year we will replace our Summer 7th, 8th, and 9th grade divisions with a draft league. Players will sign up individually and will be drafted by a CROWN coach. It will be a good opportunity for the youth to play with new and old faces within our CROWN community. Please click on the link below for more information and to sign up. Looking for an exciting opportunity to… Grow your skills and spiritual gifts? Share God and God’s love? Volunteer? Gain experience relevant for college applications or a future job? CROWN is offering internship positions to support our basketball, volleyball, or golf sports programs. We are also looking for volunteers in addition to interns (please see the comment at the end). Internship Experiences, Duties, and Responsibilities Positively represent God and CROWN; Available program days (usually weekday evenings and/or Saturdays) from late May through early August; Approximately 8 to 24 hours a week of service for (depending on availability, qualifications, and interest): Gym/facility opening/closing duties; Answer questions that arise on-site about the CROWN programs; Problem-solve on-site as needed; Ensure officiating, fellowship, and other program elements are implemented; Attend program planning meetings; Support program implementation Attend and complete 10-15 hours of training, orientation, and evaluation regarding CROWN programs; Complete health and safety certifications Internship Qualifications Loves God and people Minimum age of 18 years old Faithful and teachable Passionate about serving Mature, reliable, responsible, accountable, punctual Works well independently and in teams Must clear background check and have clean driving record Internship Compensation / Potential Accomplishments Can request a letter of recommendation from the CROWN Board for college applications, scholarships, and/or future employment Opportunity to experience local missions and ministry Stipend available of up to $2,000 How to Apply for the Internship (due by April 3rd) Submit a 1-page Cover Letter with answers the following questions Why do you want to serve with CROWN? Your child(ren) will have the opportunity to learn and expand their basketball skills including ball handling, finishing and shooting.
